A little about US !

We are Richard aka Jr. and Gina Young. We have two children, Johnathan 16 and Katie 7.  We live on a 42 acre farm. My husband is a Coal Miner and I'm the housewife♥We have 6 Labs, Molly, Hanna, Dandi , Rocky, Bret & Drake!  One Shih-tzu-- Holly .   I have a Horse, Black Standardbred-- Midnight...  As you can see ...We Love Animals!!  But,  First and Foremost  We Love the Lord !    We are just Honest Country folks who like to hunt, fish and enjoy family life.

As for me growing up with two wonderful parents, ( who I love with all my heart) my only real "dream" was to find a wonderful man, have children and live on a farm! I have been a dog lover since I was a little girl. And I always wanted my own horse, but never had a place big enough for one. So, I consider myself Blessed to have grown up, been through some tough times, but that dream is finally over. And the best part, it came True!  I have a wonderful man, two great kids, my dogs, and my horse!!

My love for the Labrador Retriever began 12 yrs.ago with my Chocolate Lab "Molly".  I have considered owning other breeds to run around in the yard with us and the children, but when it's all said and done, the "Lab" is where I always end up !   I have never known another breed that is so giving of themselves.  It seems that all the Lab is interested in beyond anything else is becomming your friend.  And when they accomplish that goal, the next step is to remain that way forever.  They always love the water, retrieving whatever they can find and playing "fetch" until YOU decide when it's time to stop.  I'll look out my window in the summer, and Katie is in her little swimming pool, and there is Hanna wading around in the water with her, stealing her toys as if she is her very best friend!   They play "hide n seek"  and just about anything else that Katie wants to play.  When I watch the friendship those two share, I am then reminded of why I always choose the Lab for my home.  Never a mean or angry bone in their body!   I trust my Labs with any dog, child, or adult.  Hanna walks down the yard every morning to help me put Katie on the bus, and she's by the gate again awaiting her return.  And no matter how "old" they become, that friendship and that bond created from puppy days remains true!  Humans hold grudges, are spiteful, find other friends, get mad and want to be left alone, some remain mad, can and will smart you off, and never appologize, always looking for fautls. The LAB, well none of the above are true for him!  He may dig holes, chew up a lot of things, even get on your nerves, but he will also "lick the hand that hits him".  Always comming back for more attention!  I have never liked the saying......"It's  just a Dog".....  I have always felt he's more than that.  And I know that he is from watching my oldest lab grow old.  I know when that sad day comes, I will shed many tears, and not be ashamed... I would never compare the love of my dogs to the love of my children or family or the loss of a human loved one,  it's a different kind of love but yet it's a strong love for something that can't talk to you, only with expressions, eyes, a tail wag, or simply just wanting to always be by your side, it's a love for one of God's many creations that many a man has called "Man's Best Friend" .

So, along with the love for the breed I strive to produce a good solid Labrador with wonderful solid pedigrees to the best that I can. I am here in hopes to produce a nice quality puppy with wonderful healthy looks from the "inside out" for you to enjoy either in showing, hunting, obedience or just having fun around the house. Whatever you choose to do with your puppy just do your best to keep it healthy and never forget to have fun with him and keep him part of the family!

           JUST A DOG

Don't ever call him "just a dog"

Who haven't the eyes to see

That I belong to him as much

As he belongs to me

God must have had His reasons

For making the likes of him

And I humbly hope with all my heart

...that I was one of them

The years have dulled his russet color

And his vision is getting dim

And he walks with a limp when the days are cold

Cause the dampness gets to him

He's not as young as he used to be

And his whiskers are frosted white

But he wags his tail as if to say

"You see, I'm still alright."

I cut his food in bite size chunks

And he gives me a toothless grin

Trusting in my love for him

Whatever shape he's in

He has accepted growing old

The way men cannot do

And I'm not ashamed to say he's taught

Me more than a thing or two

So, don't ever call him "just a dog"

Unless you are prepared

To match his steadfast loyalty

To care the way he's cared

For many the sad offenses

Committed in love's name

And how many times it takes a dog

...to put a man to shame!!!
